The Cajun seafood chain Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar has dug its claws into Nassau County with a location in Hicksville, and now in Valley Stream.

Seafood boils abound on the menu with mix-and-match featuring a choice of crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, scallops, lobster and more. Add a sauce and extras. If you can’t make up your mind they do have their favorite boils like, the Cajun, with crawfish, black mussels, and head-off shrimp or the Perfect Storm, with 1 cluster of snow crab, 1 pound of head-off shrimp, and 1/2 pound of black mussels.

Then there’s the Reel Catch. That comes with a choice of snow crab legs (2 clusters) or snow crab leg (1 cluster) plus 1 lobster tail and then you pick two  of the following items: 1 pound of clams, 1 pound of shrimp, 1 pound of New Zealand mussels, 1 pound of black mussels, or 1 pound of crawfish.

Their raw bar features Blue Point Oysters.

Not to worry, they have plenty of other menu items, including catfish, chicken, fish or shrimp po’ boys and sliders.

On Yelp, Cynthia H, from Valley Stream, said her first experience was an unexpected surprise.

“This was my first time ordering from Hook & Reel and I'm so glad I gave this place a shot,” she wrote. “They use fresh ingredients, the food was perfectly seasoned, portions are generous and everything was just delicious!”

Kelly-Mae S, from Queens, agreed.

“Hook and Reel never disappoints,” she wrote.
