Saint James Woman Arrested in Bethpage for Drunk Driving

The Nassau County Highway Patrol reports an arrest for Driving While Intoxicated which occurred on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 1:05 A.M. in Bethpage.

Bethpage, NY - Febrauary 22nd, 2015 - The Nassau County Highway Patrol reports an arrest for Driving While Intoxicated which occurred on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 1:05 A.M. in Bethpage.

According to officers, Highway Patrol officers were notified by several 911 callers of a white Toyota Camry driving northbound in the left lane of southbound route 135 in the vicinity of exit 4, the Southern State Parkway. Responding patrol officers located the vehicle at exit 7E of route 135 in Bethpage on the right shoulder, occupied by Jillian Dethuin, 31, of Oak Street, St. James, who was identified by witnesses at the scene as the driver of the vehicle. An investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol and she was placed under arrest without incident.  No accidents or injuries were reported.

Dethuin is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (BAC .18 or above), Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated (BAC + .08) and violations for driving the wrong way on a one way street and reckless driving. She will be arraigned on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
