Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) attended the Health & Welfare Council of Long Island’s (HWCLI) winter quarterly on Thursday, Feb. 2.
Focused on the topic of “The State of Social Justice,” New York State Attorney General Letitia James discussed her office’s ongoing efforts to transform and enhance the criminal justice system and implement policies that will best protect New York State’s residents.
“For more than seven decades, the Health & Welfare Council of Long Island has been serving Long Island’s most vulnerable communities through direct services and advocacy – and I can think of no leader that better embodies their philosophy than Attorney General Letitia James,” Legislator Drucker said. “She is a truly inspiring leader, and it was a privilege to hear her perspective on this vital matter. Thank you to President and CEO Rebecca Sanin everyone at HWCLI for all of the great work you do to uplift our region.”
