Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) is partnering with assessment expert Jeff Gold, a former member of the Nassau County Board of Assessors and a former commissioner of the Assessment Review Commission (ARC), to host an in-person assessment grievance workshop at the Elmont Memorial Library at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13.
During this workshop – Legislator Solages’ third of the 2025 grievance period - Gold will show taxpayers who disagree with their assessment how to navigate the online grievance process and dispute their assessment.
“As a well-respected expert on the issue of assessment, Jeff Gold is uniquely qualified to walk Nassau County homeowners through the grievance process,” Legislator Solages said. “I thank Jeff for sharing his expertise with the residents of the Third District and invite anyone who plans to grieve to join us at the Elmont Memorial Library for an informative evening that will prepare you to exercise your rights and hopefully reduce your tax burden.”
The deadline to submit a grievance is Monday, March 3. For additional information, please contact Legislator Solages’ office at 516-571-6203 or csolages@nassaucountyny.gov.
