Hemptead, NY - February 15, 2017 - The Village of Hempstead recently celebrated Juan Juarbe’s confirmation as an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America as part of its dedication to supporting youth in the community. During the ceremony the Village honored Juarbe for being a role model to his peers and an example of the kind of dedication to community and service encouraged by the Village.

Following a Color Guard and the Pledge of Allegiance, Juarbe promised to uphold the values of trustworthiness, loyalty, kindness, honor and integrity of the Boy Scouts and to serve as a youth liaison in the Hempstead community.
