A new restaurant by @thegrubfather opened recently in Huntington called The Grub Shop. Inside, visitors are surrounded by art - an octopus seems to climb off the walls embracing countertops and sliding its tentacles across the floor. And online reviewers are giving the food almost perfect marks.
An early menu includes chicken tenders (3 for $11.99), ribeye cheesesteak heroes ($13.99), burger ($13.99), Buffalo chicken eggrolls (3 for $9.99). They also serve cheesy grub mac and fries on the side ($3.99).

Artwork in the restaurant was done by some Long Island artists, including @AndaluzTheArtist.
“We love to grub but we’re also amped to hook you up with a visual feast too,” a post on The Grub Shop’s Instagram account says. “When you come into the Grub Shop, you’ll also be treated to the artistic expression of various Long Island artists.”
On Yelp, Brett P, from Miller Place said they have the best chicken fingers he ever had.
“Sauces are so unique and delicious, I recommend trying them all,: he wrote. “The seasoning on the fresh fries is so addicting too. New spot with a great vibe, awesomely creative artwork, and unique homemade food... highly recommend!”

Rebecca M, from Levittown, said that she was looking forward to the place opening up.
“Been following the Grub Father for a while and was pretty hyped when I saw he was opening his own spot,” she wrote. “I wanted to order everything off the menu, but I went with the chicken tenders to start (I'll be back with a bigger appetite lol). These were the most well seasoned and juicy chicken tenders I've ever had. They were so HUGE I couldn't even finish all three.”
