As most schools take a break at the end of February, parents might be looking for something to do with the kids. On Tuesday, 2/22/22, the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Rinks will be hosting a skate for a cause event. Admission to the rink will be $2 with $2 skate rental to all residents who bring two non-perishable food items to any Town rink on Tuesday, February 22.
“The date of 2/22/22 is unique in that it falls this year during most school district’s winter break, where many families and children are looking for fun staycation opportunities,” said Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Saladino. “We invite our residents to help us ‘double our efforts’ in collecting non-perishable food items on 2/22, welcoming them to skate for just $2 at any of our wonderful three ice skating facilities.”
Public skating sessions available on 2/22/22 at all three Town skating facilities run from 1-3pm, 4-6pm and 7-9pm. In addition to $2 skating and $2 skate rentals, the concession stands will offer $2 pretzels, $2 hot chocolate and $2 churros for the day as well.
