LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW TUESDAY MORNING A fast moving system will bring a band of light snow to the area Tuesday morning. A coating to less than 1 inch of snow accumulation is forecast. Roads will become snow covered due to the recent cold weather resulting in slippery travel conditions. Anyone planning to travel Tuesday morning should use extra caution. The accumulating snow will quickly come to an end late morning through midday with temperatures rising into the middle and upper 30s in the afternoon.

Suspect Wanted for Confronting Woman After Burglarizing Her Apartment

Westbury, NY - February 18th, 2015 - The Third Squad is investigating a Burglary that occurred on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 5:20 pm in Westbury.
 
According to detectives, a 21 year old female victim exited her vehicle and proceeded to the rear of the residence on Oliver Avenue to enter her basement apartment. When the victim observed the door to her apartment open she turned to leave and was grabbed by a male black subject who demanded money. 
 
The subject attempted to force the victim back into the apartment but she refused and dropped to the ground. The subject described as a male black, 5’9”, 20-25 years old, mustache wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt fled towards front of residence. Proceeds were two ladies watches. 
 
There were no reported injuries.
