AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO MIDNIGHT EDT THURSDAY NIGHT The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following counties: New York, Bronx, Kings, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam. from midnight tonight to midnight EDT Thursday night. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Fine Particulates. The Air Quality Index, or AQI, was created as an easy way to correlate levels of different pollutants to one scale. The higher the AQI value, the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated, the New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. NCPD are seeking Julian Vargas of New Hyde Park, 25, a Missing Vulnerable Adult from New Hyde Park.

New Hyde Park, NY - February 18, 2019 - The Missing Persons Squad reports the details of a Missing Vulnerable Adult that occurred on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in New Hyde Park and reported to Police on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 12:50 a.m.
 
According to detectives, Julian Vargas, 25, was last seen leaving his Oak Drive residence. He is described as a male Hispanic, 6’1” tall, 150 pounds with brown eyes and black curly hair. He was last seen operating a Blue Honda Civic with NY registration JCY3832. His clothing description and possible destination are unknown.
