Chikn-Fixn opened recently in Smithtown but it’s not just chicken. They have burritos too. And cereal. (Yes, you read that right.)
The chicken fingers top the menu. Sure, you can get them in regular old breadcrumbs but why be normal? Chikn-Fixn will mix in just about anything into their breading. Tops on the list: Captain Crunch Cereal. Or maybe try pretzels, Lucky Charms, Cool Ranch Doritos, Spicy Cheetos, Cheez Its. The list goes on and on. If you want the Takis Blue Fuego breading you have to sign a waiver.
The starters (they call them munchies) include fried pickles, spicy Cheeto fried pickles (why not?), fried zucchini, boneless wings and more. They also have Mac & Cheese and overstuffed burritos including The Dorito Burrito (again, why not?).
If you’re particularly hungry you can try The Motha Clucker a layered dish with fries as the base, then Mac & Cheese, then two chicken fingers any style topped with mozzarella sticks and smothered in their cluck sauce.
Also, going old school, they’re bringing back french fries with brown gravy and melted mozzarella cheese!
Desserts include fried oreos, fried twinkies and fried chocolate chip cookies.
Open late everyday of the week until midnight weekdays and 1am on Friday and Saturday. Except Tuesday where they demand you get a taco.
Chikn-Fixn took over the spot where Sal's Pizzeria used to be.
