Nassau Police: Victim Suffers Broken Leg After Freeport Assault, Robbery

A male victim was walking on Rutland Road when two male suspects tackled him, according to detectives.

Freeport, NY - February 20, 2018 - The First Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred at 2:25am on Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Freeport.
 
According to Detectives, the male victim, 20, of Freeport was walking on Rutland Road when two male suspects began to run toward him. The victim began to run away but he was tackled by Suspect one. Suspect one then pulled out a knife with a silver handle and demanded money from the victim. When the victim stated he didn’t have any money, Suspect two took the victim’s headphones and both suspects then ran south on Rutland Road. The victim suffered broken bones in his right leg.
 
Suspect one is described as a male Hispanic, early 20’s, 5’9”, armed with a knife, wearing a black colored hoody style sweatshirt, black face mask and square framed eyeglasses.
 
Suspect two is described as a male black, early 20’s, 5’10”, wearing a black colored hoody style sweatshirt and a white colored face mask.
