Officials: Pedestrian Suffers Serious Head Injuries in Glen Cove Automotive Accident
Glen Cove, NY - February 20, 2019 - Homicide Squad reports the details of a Serious Auto Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 8:10 p.m. in Glen Cove.
According to detectives, while attempting to cross Brewster Ave. from the east side to the west side, a female pedestrian, 25, was struck by a 2005 Volkswagen which was traveling northbound. The female driver, 23, remained at the scene. As a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered serious head injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The victim is listed in critical condition.
The vehicle was brake and safety tested. No criminality is suspected.
The investigation is ongoing.
