Hauppauge, NY - February 22, 2019 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a woman in Hauppauge on Friday, February 22.
A woman was driving a 2003 Nissan Murano southbound on Wheeler Road when the vehicle veered off the roadway in front of 428 Wheeler Road and struck a utility pole. The woman, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452.
