Cops: Far Rockaway Woman Busted for DWI Hit-and-Run Accident in Hewlett

The Nassau County Police Department reports the details of a DWI Leandra’s law arrest that occurred in Hewlett.
 
According to Police, Officers responded to Broadway near the intersection of Hewlett Avenue for an auto accident where a 2010 Ford Escape struck a 2022 white Chevrolet Suburban before leaving the scene. 
 
A short time later, the vehicle was located on Broadway near the intersection of Starks Place and a Vehicle and Traffic stop was conducted. 
 
A Field Sobriety Test was conducted with positive results and the operator of the vehicle, defendant Natasha Robinson, 37, of 141 Beech 56th Place, Far Rockaway was placed under arrest without incident. 
 
The vehicle passenger a male juvenile victim, 2, was transported to a nearby hospital for assessment and was released into the custody of a family member who responded to the hospital. 
 
The 2010 Ford Escape westbound on Broadway when she struck a 2022 white Chevrolet Suburban operated by a 17-year-old female who was traveling northbound on Broadway. No injuries were reported at this time for all parties. 
 
Defendant Natasha Robinson is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (child under 16) Leandra’s Law, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Leaving the Scene of incident and multiple Traffic Infractions. 
 
She was arraigned at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
