Underwear Thieves in Police Custody Following Victoria Secret Shoplifting Spree, Cops Say

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man and Hempstead woman for an incident that occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 3:14 pm in North New Hyde Park. 
 
According to Detectives, Defendant Amar Williams, 35, of 20940 45th Road, Bayside and Defendant Jasmine Addison, 31, of 134 Yale Street entered Victoria Secret located at 1450 Union Turnpike and concealed assorted merchandise. The defendants then proceeded to pass all points of purchase and exit the store without rendering payment. Detectives located the defendants nearby and placed them under arrest.  Defendant Williams became violent and combative causing a detective to sustain a laceration to her hand and injury to her knee. She was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
 
Defendant Jazmine Addison is charged with Petit Larceny. Defendant Amar Williams is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Petit Larceny and Resisting arrest. They will be arraigned on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead. 
 
Subsequent to the investigation, it was determined that both defendants had open bench warrants from New York City.
