East Moriches, NY - February 28th, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a man in East Moriches this morning.
Thomas Kenny was driving a 2002 Mazda Tribute eastbound on Montauk Highway, just west of Bay Avenue, when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at approximately 7:10 a.m.
Kenny, 30, of Yaphank, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
