“This year’s basketball game between the Nassau County and Suffolk County Police Departments gives special meaning to helping and honoring our 9/11 military veterans,” Commissioner Ryder said. “What a respectful way to acknowledge the many sacrifices that our active and retired veterans have made throughout history to protect our nation and our freedoms. To assist with this game and fundraiser I will be entering as a teammate and look forward to playing with both Nassau and Suffolk’s finest!”

“The Long Island Nets are excited to partner with the Nassau County and Suffolk County Police Departments to host the Third Annual Charity Law Enforcement Basketball Game,” said Alton Byrd, Senior Vice President of Growth Properties at BSE Global, parent company of the Long Island Nets. “I am looking forward to seeing both the NCPD and SCPD basketball teams take the court to raise money and awareness for an incredible non-profit organization.”
