NCPD: Officers Responding to Domestic Disturbance Arrest Bethpage Man with Illegal Firearm
The Eighth Squad reports the details of an arrest that occurred on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 8:20 pm in Bethpage.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to a disturbance at a residential home. Upon arrival, Officers were notified about an argument that occurred between the subject and a female victim, 48. The victim notified police of a loaded firearm that was kept in the home belonging to the defendant Claude E Keith.
Upon further investigation, police located a loaded handgun in a black unlocked safe. The defendant was taken in custody without further incident. No injuries were reported.
The defendant Claude E. Keith, 54, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, and Failure to Safely Store a Firearm 1st Degree.
He was arraigned on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at First District Court 99 main Street, Hempstead.
