Farmingdale Man Arrested in Connection to Multiple Burglaries

Nassau County, NY - March 3, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Farmingdale man for Burglaries which occurred in February 2017 in Nassau County.

According to detectives, the Burglary Pattern Team along with the Fifth Squad and New York State Parole arrested Ismael Rahman, 37, of Farmingdale in connection with the following burglaries:

On Sunday February 19, 2017 at 10:26 pm he entered Midas Muffler shop located at 328 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Monday February 20, 2017 at 5:39 am he entered the American Muffler Shop located at 655 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 6:00 pm he entered the American Muffler Shop a second time and removed an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Friday, February 24, 2017 at 12:01 am he entered Broadway Auto & Towing located at 421 North Main Street, Freeport and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Friday February 24, 2017 at 1:12 am he entered Village Express Deli located at 198 North Main Street, Freeport and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Friday February 24, 2017 at 7:45 am he entered a Stratford Road, West Hempstead home and attempted to take property before he was confronted by a homeowner.  Rahman fled on foot with no proceeds.  No injuries were reported.

On Friday February 24, 2017 at 6:10 pm he entered Triple A1 Transmissions located at 66 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead and attempted to steal property.  No proceeds were taken.

On Friday, February 24, 2017 at 7:25 pm he entered R an M Service Station located at 260 Hempstead Turnpike and removed an undisclosed amount of cash.

After an extensive investigation Rahman was located on March 2, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Nassau County Medical Center where he was placed under arrest without incident.

Rahman is charged with Burglary 2nd degree and seven counts of Burglary 3rd degree.  He will be arraigned on Friday, March 03, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
