Suspect Wanted for Attempting to Rob Merrick TD Bank

Merrick, NY - March 4th, 2016 - Major Case Bureau detectives are investigating an Attempted Bank Robbery that occurred on Thursday, March 03, 2016 at 5:40 pm in Merrick.

According to detectives, a white male entered TD Bank, 2260 Merrick Road, approached a teller and handed her a demand note.

After the teller tore up the note and threw it in the garbage, the subject, who was described as being 5’6” to 5’9” tall, clean shaven, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and gloves, fled the bank without any proceeds and was last seen heading through the parking lot.

During the incident, 5 employees and 2 customers were present. No injuries were reported.
