Nassau DA Donnelly: Multiple Individuals Arrested in Connection with Multi-Million Dollar Gift Card Scheme

Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly and Nassau County Police Department Commissioner Patrick Ryder announced on Thursday, March 6 that "multiple" individuals have been arrested in connection with a money laundering scheme involving a multi-million-dollar gift card scheme.
 
According to Nassau authorities, the suspects involved in the racket ran a computer scam that targeted victims throughout the country where they were hoodwinked into buying gift cards. These cards where used by the suspects to purchase merchandise at stores in both Nassau County and New York City that was later resold via local area businesses the suspects were affiliated with.
 
Donnelly and Ryder will be holding a press conference on Thursday Nassau County District Attorney’s Office in Mineola to announce the details of the case, including displaying examples of the merchandise that was seized by police.
