Exercise caution handling any potential ignition sources, including machinery, cigarettes, and matches. Any fires that ignite will have the potential to spread quickly. This forecast considers meteorological, fuel, and land conditions and has been developed in coordination with state fire and land management officials.

Bellerose Man Arrested for Selling Heroin in Levittown

The accused has been charged for selling and possession of heroin as well as numerous other drugs.

Levittown, NY - March 9, 2014 - The Narcotics/Vice Bureau reports the arrest of a Bellerose man for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance on Sunday, March 09, 2014 at 12:35 A.M. in Levittown.
 
According to detectives, on three separate occasions, Wasif S. Hamid, 23, of 8357 248th Street, sold heroin to undercover agents.  Hamid was located on March 9, 2014 at 12:35 A.M. in Levittown and found to be in possession of 688 wax paper envelopes plus additional heroin, in excess of ½ ounce of cocaine, an undisclosed amount of assorted pills and 2 vials of Ketamine.
 
Hamid is charged with seven counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance.  He will be arraigned on Sunday, March 09, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
