Ikedo Ramen opened a new spot in Carle Place in February adding a second location in addition to the one in Port Washington.
At Ikedo, you can tart with a selection of buns, including pork, chicken or tofu (all $3.95), a Takoyaki with fried Japanese octopus balls, topped with house made sauce, Japanese mayo, aonori and bonito flakes ($6.95), Ika Karaage, with fried squid rings and tentacles with lemon paired with spicy mayo sauce ($9.95), or Crab Jalapeno, deep fried breaded jalapeno with cream cheese and crabmeat stuffing topped with house made sauce ($6.95).
You can choose from their specialty ramen bowls like Chicken Paitan with black fungus, cabbage, corn, green onions, fried garlic, fried garlic and onion oil in chicken Paitan broth ($14.95), Teriyaki Ton Ramen with hand pulled Chashu in teriyaki sauce, bamboo shoot, corn, green onion, red chili pepper, pork chili paste, hot oil in miso tonkotsu broth ($14.95), or you can build your own.
On Yelp, Annie Z, from Great Neck Plaza, gave them five stars.
“I recently tried the ramen at this newly opened restaurant and I must say, it was fantastic,” she wrote. “I haven't had ramen this good in a while, and it has now become my new favorite spot for a bowl of delicious and satisfying ramen.”
