Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that seriously injured a man in Greenlawn on Sunday, March 9.
A man was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado in a northwest direction on Greenlawn Road, when the vehicle left the roadway near Ducharme Lane, struck a tree, and overturned, at approximately 9:35 p.m.
The man, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported via Greenlawn Rescue to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
