A 36-year-old man from Southold, Long Island, James Gaffga, has been charged with 50 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
The charges stem from allegations that Gaffga was found in possession of a hard drive containing images of sexual abuse of children as young as 18 months old.
The Suffolk County resident was indicted on Friday, March 10, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney. Investigations reveal that between November 23, 2022, and December 16, 2022, Gaffga allegedly downloaded 50 images and videos from the internet, depicting sexual abuse and lewd exhibition of children ranging in age from approximately 18 months to 10 years old.
