Poki Poke has finally opened in Coram, located in the same shopping center as Starbucks on Route 112. The sign on the store window has been up since last May advertising the new poke bowl place.
The Hawiian health food has taken over Long Island with new stores popping up everywhere like boba bubbles.
You can build your own bowls or choose from their signature selection like the Toki Bowl with tuna, scallions, seaweed salad, masago, corn, OG sauce and citrus yuzu ($18.65) or the popular Power Bowl with chicken, shrimp, crab meat, edamame, avocado, carrots, cucumbers, scallions, coconut ginger and spicy mayo.
They also sell Lemon Perfect waters in flavors like dragon fruit mango, kiwi star fruit and blueberry acai ($3.84).
On Yelp, Marc W, from Medford, gave them five stars.
“Stopped in last night to check this new spot out for the first time,” he wrote. “Grabbed bowls for my whole family… Highly recommend trying this place out. It's fresh and healthy and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.”
Howard R, from Coram, agreed.
“Can't wait to go back,” he said. “I have never had poke before, but it was great.”
