The Third Squad reports the details of the arrest of a Hicksville man for a False Incident Report that occurred on Monday, February 26, 2023 at 3:00 a.m. in East Meadow.
 
According to Detectives, Enrique Hurtado Mazada falsely reported to police that he had been the victim of a robbery. The defendant had claimed that he had been carjacked and assaulted by two unknown individuals, causing the loss of his vehicle and several injuries. A thorough investigation was conducted and it was determined that Defendant Mazada had completely fabricated his claim. The defendant was arrested on March 8, 2024 in East Meadow.
 
Defendant Enrique Hurtado Mazada is charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident, 3rd degree, and Making a Punishable False Statement. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
