Lindenhurst, NY - March 13, 2015 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police First Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole a donation jar from an animal hospital in Lindenhurst last year.
A man stole a donation jar that contained an estimated $500 from the counter of the Babylon Animal Hospital, located at 350 Montauk Highway, on June 11, 2014. The suspect got into the passenger seat of a dark-colored Ford Explorer and fled from the hospital. The money was being raised for Miley, an Italian Greyhound that needed surgery for bone deformities. Miley has since had the necessary surgery.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
