Poke bowls are a great way to fill up on a nutritious and delicious meal for the health conscious and those who just love fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. Described as a sushi in a salad bowl, most places allow you to build your own bowl or have some made to order menu items.

Maui Poke, which opened recently in Commack, is one of the newest restaurants to offer this Hawaiian delight. They offer create-your-own bowls with a kale, noodle, rice or quinoa base and two ($11.95) or three ($14.95) proteins of tuna, salmon, eel, tofu or chicken. You can also order one of their five signature bowls. They also serve a variety of bubble teas.
