Duo Busted for Stealing Over $3k in Crest White Strips from Levittown Target

Levittown, NY - March 17th, 2015 - The Second Squad reports the arrest of two men for Grand Larceny that occurred on Thursday, January 22, 2015, Tuesday, February 10, 2015, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 and Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Levittown.
According to detectives, on Monday, March 16, 2015 Second Precinct officers responded to Target, 3850 Hempstead Turnpike for two subjects who were identified by the loss prevention specialists from previous larcenies of Crest Whitening Strips.
On the above date’s defendants Jamel McDonal (pictured right), 30, of Allers Boulevard, Roosevelt and William Byrd, 43, of Walton Avenue, Uniondale entered Target and removed Crest Whitening Strips valued over $3500. The defendants were placed under arrest without further incident.
McDonal and Byrd are being charged with 2 counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree and Petit Larceny. Defendant McDonal has an additional charge of Grand Larceny 4th for the unlawful removal of Crest Whitening Strips, and razors from a Westbury Target store. They will be arraigned on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at First District Court, Hempstead.
