Man in Serious Condition After One Car Crash

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a man in Lake Grove this afternoon.

Update: March 18, 2015 - The driver who was seriously injured in a single-car crash in Lake Grove on March 17 has been identified as Gregory Watson, 21, of Lake Grove. The investigation is continuing.

Lake Grove, NY - March 17th, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a man in Lake Grove this afternoon.
 
A man driving a 1999 Nissan SX was traveling south on Hawkins Avenue when he apparently lost control of the vehicle and struck a pole at the intersection of Terry Avenue at approximately 1:35 p.m. 
 
The driver, who has not been identified, was transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
