Village of Hempstead Supports Local Women for Contributions to Children and Families

Hempstead, NY - March 22, 2017 - The Village of Hempstead recently participated in the Lakeview branch of the Key Women of America’s 47th Annual Scholarship & Award Luncheon as part of its commitment to supporting women in the community. The luncheon was intended to recognize local influential women for their ongoing contributions to and support of Village of Hempstead children and families.
 
During the event, the Village of Hempstead Judge Maxine Broderick presented a speech and awarded honorees Wilbert and Tina Bowles with the New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit for their distinguished community service. All Honorees received a Nassau County Legislative certificate for their investment in the children and service of their community. The Village is proud to support helping children and giving back to the community.
 
Key Women of America, Inc. is a community service organization for the Investment in Children, Family Service, Community Needs and World Concerns. The organization was founded to address the needs of children in the home, schools, institutions, and in conflict with the law.
