This black and white photo from the Patchogue Medford Library collection shows the E. Bailey & Sons planing mill in Patchogue.
A website entry from 2016 on the L.I. village photos blog describes the mill as a massive complex that “was located on the site of the present Bowling Alley and surrounding area.”
The archive descriptions says that the photo is taken from the north end of Patchogue River.
