AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Glenwood Landing, NY - March 25th, 2016 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal vehicular accident that occurred at 4:55am on Friday, March 25, 2016 in Glenwood Landing.

According to Detectives, a 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan was travelling northbound on Shore Road and began to slide across both the northbound and southbound lanes.  The vehicle struck a utility pole and came to a stop facing southbound with part of the pole on the hood of the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, Quentin Capobianco, 19, of Glen Head was pronounced on scene at 5:13am by a Nassau County Police Medic Supervisor. The twenty-year old female passenger of the vehicle was transported by Glenwood Fire Department Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation of non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle was impounded for a brake and safety inspection. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
