Elmont, NY - March 25th, 2016 - Assemblymember Michaelle C. Solages (Elmont-D) honored Nadia Holubnyczyj-Ortiz as “Good Samaritan of the Month” for her work in the grassroots organization, ‘No Casino at Belmont Park’.

Nadia is the head of social media communications for the group and handles the crucial job of spreading information about the proposal for a casino in Belmont Park, as well as working to assign daily tasks to people who want to get involved.

Nadia is an exemplary citizen who has used her knowledge and talents to organize others and foster positive change in the community.
