Inwood, NY - March 26, 2014 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal auto accident involving a pedestrian which occurred on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. in Inwood.
According to detectives, Alexandre Pougatchev, 25, of Woodside was walking in front of 23 Nassau Avenue when he was struck by a 2014 Dodge Ram pick up which was being driven by a 49 year old male. The aided was transported to St. John’s Hospital in Queens where he was pronounced deceased at 6:05 P.M. by hospital staff. The vehicle was impounded to Nassau County Police Fleet Service Bureau for a brake and safety test. No criminality is suspected at this time.
