Smithtown, NY - March 27, 2014 - Mark your calendars! Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center Inc. will be holding its 13th Annual “Evening for the Love of Animals” Fur Ball 2014 on April 3. The event will be held at Flowerfield Celebrations Catering, located at 199 Mills Pond Road in St. James, NY from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The honorees for this year’s Fur Ball will be Mark Lesko, Executive Director, Accelerate LI; Gail Waller and Wendy Waller.
The Fur Ball event was organized to bring people together who share a common bond: an undying love for animals. The money raised will be used to continue Guardians of Rescue and Save-A-Pet’s commitment to programs such as saving lives of homeless animals, and Paws of War, matching our veterans suffering from PTSD with rescued dogs who are trained to serve them.
The dress code for the elegant ball is casual, smart attire and will include a silent auction, raffles, open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dessert, and live music. In addition, there will be a cocktail performance by harpist Ryan Taliercio. Tickets for the event are $150 per person, $250 per couple, and $1,500 for a table of ten. If you mention “Paws of War” when reserving your tickets, Guardians of Rescue will discount the ticket to $100 per person.
Those who are unable to attend can make a financial contribution to one of Save-A-Pet’s programs. All donations are greatly appreciated. Checks can be made out to Save-A-Pet and mailed to: Save-A-Pet, 608 Route 112, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776.
“We are proud to support our shelter partner and hope everyone will join us for this gala event,” said Robert Misseri, Founder and President of Guardians of Rescue. “ If not for their support, we could not continue our mission of providing service dogs to our veterans and housing orphaned companion animals.”
In addition, several sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are available. To purchase tickets, become a sponsor or underwriter, or for more information, please contact Save-A-Pet at (631) 473-6333, or visit the new live website for the event at www.saveapetfurball.org.
