Report: Man Wanted for Stealing Wallet at Carle Place Convenience Store

A male white in his 50’s took a wallet that another customer left, cops say.

Carle Place, NY - March 28, 2019 - Third Squad detectives are investigating a larceny that occurred on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 5:33 pm in Carle Place.
 
According to detectives, after making a purchase and accidentally leaving his wallet on the counter of 7 Eleven, 285 Old Country Road, the next customer in line, a male white in his 50’s, wearing a green jacket with a patch embroidered on the left chest area, picked up the wallet and put it into his pocket. After making a purchase with his own money, the unknown subject is then seen getting into a silver or gray Dodge Charger and leaving the parking lot.
 
Detectives request anyone who may recognize the subject or has information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244 TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
