The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, will host its Girls’ Night Out Game, honoring 2024 WNBA Champions, the New York Liberty, this Friday, March 28, when the team faces the Cleveland Charge at 7 p.m. at Nassau Coliseum.
The Nets will honor the Liberty in a variety of ways throughout the evening, including wearing special seafoam-colored jerseys, inspired by the Liberty’s home uniforms. All game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefitting Yes Girls Create Inc., a local Long Island nonprofit youth organization that supports girls through mentorship.
The first 750 fans to arrive at Nassau Coliseum on Friday will receive a limited-edition seafoam LI Nets vanity bag. Additionally, there will be a pregame autograph session for fans with a Liberty player, a meet and greet with Liberty mascot Ellie the Elephant, and photo opportunities with the 2024 WNBA Championship trophy beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Ex-Hall.
At halftime, the LI Nets will honor Yes Girls Create Inc. as the Community Hero of the game with an on-court recognition. To round out the evening, there will be a special performance by the Timeless Torches, the New York Liberty’s official dance team.
