Man Assaulted with a Hammer at 7-11 in Baldwin

The First Squad reports the details of an Assault that occurred on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 1:36 am in Baldwin.
 
According to Detectives, two subjects entered 7-11, located at 1271 Grand Avenue. Subjects one and two removed several items and left the store without paying for the items. Two male employees, ages 26 and 55, confronted the subjects in front of the store. After a verbal dispute the employees recovered the items and both subjects entered a blue SUV operated by a third subject. Before leaving the scene subject one exited the vehicle and attacked the 26-year old victim with a hammer, striking him in the head causing serious head trauma. All three subjects then fled in the vehicle eastbound on Grand Terrace Avenue. A Nassau County Police Department Ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
 
Subject one is described as a male black, wearing a black puffy jacket, black pants, black sneakers and a grey beanie hat. Subject two is described as a female black, wearing a black jacket, red hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black slide sandals and a purple bandana. Subject three is described as a female white.
