Places, Events and Things We Miss on Long Island
Growing up on Long Island fills our lives with countless wonderful memories. It does not matter if you are in your eighties or teenage years; from sunsets, beaches and boating to pumpkin picking, dining and shopping there is no question that Long Island ALWAYS makes us smile.
With "social distancing" in place, I thought I would use this time to share some fantastic memorable pictures of Long Island. Each day I will share places, events and things we miss most.
While I never personally made it to the original My Father's Place in Roslyn which opened in 1971, I have enjoyed shows that Michael 'Eppy' Epstein works tiressly on at its new venue in at The Roslyn Hotel.
Seaford, Long Island

Here's a classic ad for "The New Waterfront Paradise" in Seaford Harbor. I love where it says "see what a small cash deposit and $5 a month will buy!"
Sears in Hicksville
With 26.4-acres in Hicksville, the now vacant Sears in Hicksville was once "The New Sears" in Hicksville...
