5th Annual All Kids Fair Announces New Appearance & Offerings
Melville, NY - April 2nd, 2015 - The popular “All Kids Fair” returns to the Melville Marriott for the fifth straight year on Sunday, April 26, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This event, which won first place in the Event Category of the 2014 Long Island Web Awards, is a combination of education and activities expo and health and wellness fair. It offers entertainment choices for toddlers through high school, including kids who have special needs or are gifted.
The All Kids Fair is excited to announce that Chef AJ of Fox TV’s MasterChef Junior Season 3 will appearing at the expo beginning at 10:30. In addition to posing for photos and signing autographs, Chef AJ, age 11, will be doing a demo at 3:30 featuring Belgian waffles, including a whipped cream challenge.
Other guests of this year’s event are:
- QuackerJack from the Long Island Ducks (11:30 – 1:30)
- Tanya, a juggler from the Big Apple Circus
- Amy Marchany, Ms. Royal America 2011-2012
Over 80 exhibitor spaces and 24 kids’ classes provide valuable information for kids and their parents and grandparents. Fair founder Barbara Kaplan said, “The 2015 All Kids Fair will bring back many of last year’s favorite features and will add many new ones for the enjoyment of our visitors.” Exhibitors will cover schools, camps, after school activities, birthday party ideas, photography, kids’ products, college planning, and health and wellness services. Some of the classes children can share with their families are tap and ballet, hula hooping, crafts, robotics, book readings, music performances, and tennis. Free valet parking, introduced in 2014, will be offered again.
There are many no-charge opportunities for kids and adults, including many new additions this year:

- Magician act courtesy of MassMutual
- Balloon animals from Kidville Wantagh
- Sand art from Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth
- Food samples from 2 local restaurants, Mio Postn and Mulberry Streeet of Seaford
- Shaved ice from Kona Ice of Long Island
- Character visits from The Kid in Me Character Company
- Craft project from Jewish Without Walls (JWOW)
- 5-Minute hand massages courtesy of Merrill Lynch
- Tasty cupcake “shots” from A.G.’s Cupcakery Coffee Bar
These are in addition to free face painting, mini-manicures, popcorn, cotton candy, and gluten free baked treat samples which were previously announced.
Attendees who like to “pay forward” to charitable groups can bring non-perishable food or money for donation to The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network) . Those who do will receive raffle tickets to win a variety of valuable donated prizes. Also, Penelope’s Odyssey will be offering the adults simple cheek swabs to join the national bone marrow registry and possibly save the life of someone with blood cancer.
Dalia Hedwig was one of the 2014 attendees. She said, “We really enjoyed ourselves and had so much fun. My kids are so happy!”

Admission for age three and up is $5.00. Kids age two and younger attend for free, and there is no charge for a grandparent who is accompanied by a parent and child who have tickets.
