On Sunday, Southampton Police got an unusual 911 call. A seal was spotted in the middle of a traffic circle. Identified by Southampton police as a baby harbor seal, the little pup was found lying in the roadway near Budget Host Inn in Riverside.

According to a post on Facebook, the Southampton Police kept an eye on the seal until the Riverhead Foundation could come and rescue it.
