After expanding to Huntington over two years ago, Shrimpy’s Burrito Bar has opened a third location (the original is in Massapequa Park) recently in East Islip.
The burrito bar is a California style restaurant with their own little twist of New York flavor. The menu at Shrimpy’s is chock full of tacos, burritos, and quesadillas.
The Strong Island Burrito (surf n’ turf) comes with seasoned rice, sautéed peppers & onions, corn salsa, monterey jack/cheddar cheese, guacamole, sour cream w/ grilled steak & shrimp ($15.99). The North “Pork” Burrito has shredded pork, seasoned rice, black beans, Monterey Jack/cheddar cheese, pico de Gallo, corn salsa and sour cream ($12.99) while the The South Shore Burrito comes with seasoned rice, black beans, jalapeno pico de gallo, sautéed peppers and onions, monterey jack/cheddar cheese, avocado poblano ranch with choice of protein (price varies). Then there’s The Legend Burrito filled with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, bacon, queso, mac and cheese, and french fries ($13.99).
They have a selection of shrimp skewers from honey barbeque to pineapple, buffalo shrimp or po boy cajun shrimp to grilled shrimp.
Shrimpy’s also serves up homemade sangria and homemade margs.
On Yelp, Anna O, from Islip Terrace, gave them five stars.
“Ordered take out from here and was pleasantly surprised,” she wrote. “The menu has a nice mix of classics or more unique items for everyone in your party. All the food was really fresh, and the shrimp were HUGE. So happy Shrimpys opened a location in East Islip! A great addition to my area.”

“Delicious food, great portion sizes and friendly staff,” he said. “We'll be back for more, the menu has so many options for us to try!”
