AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Hempstead, NY - April 8th, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man for a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 3:25 a.m. in Hempstead.

According to detectives, the defendant Keith Q. Estrada, 19 of 98 Park Avenue entered the 7-11 Convenience Store located at 531 Fulton Avenue displaying a large black handgun. He demanded money from the 52 year old male victim/clerk and fled on foot with the proceeds. On April 7, 2014 4:43 p.m. Estrada was stopped by First Precinct Officers on Nassau Road. The officers discovered Estrada was in possession of a large black BB gun and a clear plastic bag of marijuana when he was placed under arrest.

Estrada is charged with three counts of Robbery 1st degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He will be arraigned on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
