Lakeview Man, Female Juvenile Arrested in Connection with "Shots Fired" Incident in Uniondale

The First Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for an incident that occurred on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 2:17 pm in Uniondale.
 
According to detectives, officers responded to a call for shots fired on Hill Street. Upon police arrival, officers received a description of a female subject who was with a male subject that removed a gun from his pocket and fired it into the air before fleeing the scene. 
 
Subsequent to the investigation, both subjects were located in front of 32 E Greenwich Avenue, Roosevelt. Defendant Rashawn Jackson, 23, of 527 Henry Street, Lakeview and a female juvenile, 17, were arrested without further incident. During the investigation, officers recovered a Hi-Point 9mm handgun.
 
Defendant Rashawn Jackson is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree. The female juvenile defendant is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. They were arraigned on Monday, April 8, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
