West Hempstead, NY - April 11th, 2014 - Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in West Hempstead on Thursday, 04/10/14 at 8:30 P.M.
According to detectives, a male subject armed with a knife, riding a small dark bicycle, approached a male victim, 24, walking on Nassau Blvd. and asked to use his cell phone. When the victim stated he did not have a cell phone, the subject pointed the knife at the victim and demanded money. The victim complied and handed over his wallet, containing cash, credit/debit cards, and a NYS drivers permit. The subject fled the scene on the bike northbound on Nassau Blvd.
No injuries were reported.
The subject is described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, heavy build, with black long wavy hair and wearing a red baseball cap. No further description is available.
