Daniel Abrego Davila is charged with Murder 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Monday, February 20, 2017 in First District Court, Hempstead.

Update - September 9, 2016 - The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of William Lopez, 34, of Hempstead for the below crime. Defendant Lopez is being charged with Murder 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at First District Court, Hempstead.

Update - April 11th, 2016 - The victim has been identified as Rolando Cruz, 39, of Freeport.

Hempstead, NY - April 10th, 2016 - Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in Hempstead on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 1:10 A.M.

According to detectives, three male subjects stabbed a male victim after a verbal altercation in front of El Nuevo bar located at 219 Fulton Ave.

The victim, who was transported to a local hospital, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a staff physician at 1:35 A.M.

There is no description of the subjects or further information about the deceased at this time.
