The Knox School's National Honor Society Holds Fundraiser to Aid Disabled Veterans
St. James, NY - April 11, 2017 - The Knox School’s National Honor Society planned and implemented a “Spring Basket” Sale in support of The Long Island State Veterans Home at Stony Brook University. Students, faculty, and staff received colorful baskets filled with candy, eggs, and stuffed critters, in an effort to raise funds for goods that will be donated to this important organization.
Long Island State Veterans Home works to serve and respect Long Island’s disabled veterans by offering rehabilitative programs, new equipment, and an enhanced quality of life. Knox NHS students were delighted to have the opportunity to support this esteemed organization. It is the goal of NHS to continue their work with The Long Island State Veterans Home by spending time at the Hospital and assisting veterans in day-to-day activities.
We are so very proud of these accomplished Knoxies!!
