Recently, the new Ashley HomeStore in Brookhaven, located at 499 Sunrise Highway in the Gateway Plaza Shopping Center, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting and donation of 50 beds to Hope For Youth.

During the celebration, 50 “Hope to Dream” twin-sized beds were donated to children in the Brookhaven area in need.  Ashley HomeStore donated one bed for each year Hope For Youth has been operating. In addition to the donation, guests are invited to participate in a V.I.P. preview event today, April 9th, in exchange for a $10 donation to Hope For Youth.

Hope for Youth is a local charitable organization with a 50-year history of serving children, youth, and families across the Long Island region. Representatives from Ashley HomeStore and Hope For Youth, as well as employees, families of youth receiving the donated beds, and members of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, were in attendance.

“A good night’s sleep is something many of us take for granted,” said Kate Travers, Hope For Youth Director of Program Development. “From challenges at school to struggles making friends - lack of access to a comfortable bed can have an incredible impact on a child’s life. We are so excited to be partnering with Ashley HomeStore to provide these much-needed beds to local youth.”

The new 24,000-square-foot showroom is owned and operated by Factory Direct Enterprises (FDE), an Ashley HomeStore licensee based in Edison, New Jersey. FDE operates 22 Ashley HomeStore locations in the Metro New York and New Jersey area. The new Patchogue store employs 25 people.

“Factory Direct Enterprises is thrilled to bring Ashley HomeStore, the number one selling furniture brand in the world, to our community right here in Patchogue,” said Justin Chrinian, Vice President of Sales for FDE. “Most people don’t realize that we’re a locally owned and operated company. As such, we are committed to giving back to our community, and supporting Hope For Youth is a natural fit for us.

Providing the dream of a beautiful home is our purpose and every child deserves a good night’s sleep. We are excited to be expanding our Ashley HomeStore footprint in Long Island.”

Ashley HomeStore has more than 1,050 locations worldwide. The new showroom features complete lifestyle vignettes, down to the final detail of lighting, rugs, and wall art. Product categories include bedroom, dining room, upholstery, leather, occasional tables, home office, youth bedroom, recliners, mattresses, and accessories.
